Prayer Lock does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. Everything the app knows about you — your location, your prayer times, your selected apps, your compliance history — stays on your device. Always. We have no server. We receive nothing.
Prayer Lock ("the app", "we", "us") is an iOS application that automatically locks selected apps during Islamic prayer times using Apple's Screen Time API. The app is developed independently and is not affiliated with Apple Inc., any Islamic organisation, or any data company.

What we access: Your device's GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude).
Why we access it: To calculate accurate Islamic prayer times for your location using an astronomical formula. Prayer times (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha) vary based on geographic position. Without your coordinates, the app cannot calculate them.
How it is stored: Your coordinates are saved locally on your device using iOS App Group UserDefaults shared between the main app and its extensions. They are never transmitted to any server, never shared with any third party, and never used for any purpose other than prayer time calculation.
When it is accessed: Location is requested once during onboarding (or when you tap "Update Location" in Settings). After that, the stored coordinates are used. The app does not track your location continuously or in the background.
Your control: You may deny location access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Prayer Lock. If denied, you can manually enter coordinates in the app's Settings screen. You may also update or delete your stored coordinates from Settings → Danger Zone → Reset All Data.
Permission used: Location When In Use

What we access: The list of apps you choose to lock during prayer, selected through Apple's FamilyActivityPicker.
